How can I join the locumloop team as a Locum Dental Nurse?

We want you to join us now as a locum or freelance dental nurse! There are a series of steps you need to take which we will guide you through – it’s easier than you may think. Remember once you are registered with us you’re your own boss and are in control of what jobs you accept. Decide your hours, days and get a better wage!

With locumloop you will have control over:

  1. Days which you work 

  2. Distance (miles) from your home address

  3. Accepting or declining the practice 

  4. Bank account you want to be paid into – paid within 14 days of each job (this may be faster)

You will only get email notifications of jobs in the radius that you have chosen. 

Scan or take a picture of your documentation

You should have most of the documentation already. So, you’re probably more than half way to joining us! 

You will need your:

  1. GDC Certificate

  2. Indemnity Insurance Certificate

  3. Hepatitis B Vaccination (immunisation status)

  4. DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service) Enhanced Certificate

GDC Certificate 

You can access your General Dental Council Certificate via their website. 

  1. Log in https://www.egdc-uk.org/

  2. Click ‘certificate of registration’

  3. Scroll to the bottom of the page and press ‘print’

  4. Download and save to your documents

Indemnity Cover 

You may already be indemnified. If you are, we would make sure that you double check with your indemnity organisation that you can act as a freelance/locum dental nurse. If not there are a few organisations locumloop know cover dental nurses:

How much will this cost me?

This should cost you in the region of about £60 to £100. Make sure you do your research! Based on £17/hour with us it could only take you about 5 hours to cover the cost of your indemnity for the whole year
